We believe at The Purple Elephant that food should be clean, simple and delicious. We source our products with care from trusted sources and make every effort to procure non-GMO foods and source organics when possible.
In our travels, we have come to love and appreciate the simple, yet robust flavors of Central American/Latin Food. Our menus reflect the freshness, love and passion that the people of these countries put into their meals. Our menus change often but a flare of Costa Rican, Honduran, El Salvadorian and Mexican foods is always present. The kitchen highlights many other foods of the world as well and David has a special love of “Low Country” Southern cooking.
Our menu is divided into Vegan and NON Vegan and we feature many Gluten-Free options. We are an equal opportunity restaurant :) Our vibe is casual and loose with killer food that takes time to prepare, so relax and have a glass of one of our many Organic Wines. The Purple Elephant is The Only restaurant on Long Island to have locally brewed Kombucha on tap, as well as Organic MomoKawa Sake..... also on tap! Our “Clean Cocktail” menu is always changing, as well as our choices of our hand crafted beer list featuring Delirium Tremens, VOTED WORLD'S BEST BEER!! Come in, sit back, chill by our water-view fireplace, soak in some reggae and munch on a plate of Patacones with Guac’.
